The IP Access Control Point is based on real-time deep packet inspection (DPI) and real-time IP packets interception. It includes the following features:

- Intelligent routing: IP routing can be done based on subscriber class, type, originating and destination IP addresses, L7 message type and parameters... The IP ACP supports several routing capabilities: load sharing, NAT (Network Address Translation)...

- Enforcement point: the IP ACP can be used as IP enforcement point to block specific traffic or user to limit throughput to and from certain applications and users, to modify QoS (DiffServ) attributes... Enforcement point can be controlled by external policy server.

- Deep IP monitoring: the IP ACP includes a user-friendly Web interface to create enhanced traffics reports and statistics. The IP monitoring tool can be used to check call flows, to detect abnormal usage, to list one specific subscriber usage and to get marketing knowledge on services usage...

- IP legal interception: the IP ACP transparently monitors information contained in the IP traffic and intercepts specific users' traffic. A legal interception tool is provided for interception control and information display.
